Built around a log cabin from the 1800’s and situated on 105 rolling acres, this home will immerse you in nature and make you forget about city living. The property is home to a picturesque farmhouse, pond, red hay barn, horses, and a short drive from historic downtown Galena. Each nook and cranny of the home contains spectacular details like reclaimed wood, Scandinavian design, and artifacts from all over the world. The great room includes a hand carved Yggdrasil (Tree of Life) fireplace as well as a piano in the music room. There are 3 ½ bathrooms that offer retreat goers 3 showers with rain shower heads and two bathtubs.
The property here is immense. A good portion of the land is wooded and rustic walking trails have been carved out for your enjoyment. Relax on the front porch to observe a 360 view of nature. Go for a drift in a tube. Go for a swim. Sunbathe on the deck. You’ve got options! There is the call of the coyotes, the site of grazing deer, the beckoning of hammocks swinging gently in the wind, and a chorus of frogs waiting to greet you at the pond. At night there is a fire pit for smores and storytelling. Come to make memories and relax.
